The dual space of the HilbertRaum becomes atrium and ventricle, a walk-in metaphor.
Text and sound encircle a range of cardiac associations: the vitality and vulnerability of our life-preserving organ; the dark chamber as a place of security, but also of captivity; the traditional lyrical connection of the heart with our emotional desires and entanglements.
The music arises from the sound and feeling of the texts (in German and English), and opens up its own spaces.
Idea and performance:
Michael Turnbull – recorder, voice
Mike Flemming – viola, voice
