13 photographers, four months of preparation, one week in Istanbul. The result is an exhibition showing a city in constant change. Where today you see residential buildings, tomorrow there are skyscrapers and motorways.

Examining Istanbul under the aspect of urbanisation is a challenge. It is one of the oldest cities of the world but at the same time one of the youngest metropolitan areas that only started to develop in the 1950s. At this time only around one million people lived in the city, today there are around 15 million. This rapid growth came with its own problems: property speculation, displacement, planning mistakes.
